もともと 演歌・民謡 の調べに心を奪われてこの道へ進み、長らく唄を生業としてまいりました。
日本の唄を辿るうちに、落語・講談・浪曲・浅草の漫才・色物 といった寄席の芸の世界にも深く魅せられ、今もたびたび寄席へ足を運ばせていただいております。
高座で語られる粋な噺、三味線の艶やかな音色、太棹の力強い唸り、そして客席に湧き上がる笑いと拍手。
そのどれもが、私たち日本人が長い時を重ねて磨き上げてまいりました、かけがえのない文化であると、いつも胸を打たれております。

My name is MACOTO"CRAZY演歌歌手"MIZUKI — an enka singer from Japan.
I began my journey in music deeply inspired by enka (traditional Japanese ballads) and min'yō (folk songs).
Over the years, I have also come to love the world of yose — the traditional variety theatres
where rakugo (comic storytelling), kōdan (epic narration), rōkyoku (sung narrative),
manzai comedy, shamisen music, and many other timeless arts are performed every single day.
About this app
Please tell us a little about yourself — your age, area, budget, favourite genres and mood —

For our visitors to Japan
- You do not need to speak Japanese to enjoy a yose performance.
The art lives in the voice, the gesture, the music, and the warm atmosphere of the theatre itself.
- Most yose theatres in Tokyo — Asakusa Engei Hall, Shinjuku Suehirotei, Ikebukuro Engeijo, Suzumoto Engeijo —
sell tickets at the door for around ¥3,000 and warmly welcome international guests.
- For Asakusa-style comedy and manzai, please consider Tōyōkan,
located right next to Asakusa Engei Hall.
- Some halls offer English programs or rakugo events with English subtitles —
kindly check each venue's website for details.
- Audience etiquette: please take your seat quietly, refrain from photography during the performance,
and feel free to laugh and applaud warmly — performers truly cherish a lively house.

At present, this service is offered completely free of charge.
Please feel most welcome to use it as often as you wish.
Please note, however, that the operation of this app incurs ongoing costs,
including generative AI (Google Gemini API) usage fees and server maintenance.
As the number of users grows, we plan to transition to a paid service
with a modest subscription fee in order to cover these expenses.
Whenever that time arrives, we shall kindly inform you in advance on this page.
Until then, this service will continue to be offered free of charge —
